A leading mining house is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join its engineering team at a platinum group metals operation near Rustenburg.
You will be responsible for the maintenance strategy, reliability and statutory compliance of mechanical equipment on site.
The role
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies for fixed and mobile plant
- Ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act
- Lead root-cause analysis and reliability improvement projects
- Manage engineering budgets and contractors
What you'll bring
- BEng / BSc Mechanical Engineering
- GCC (Mines and Works) advantageous
- 4+ years' experience in mining or heavy industry
- Valid driver's licence
